UNAM Europe Permanent Seminar — Session on Energy Transition: Glocal Views
At a historic moment when the energy transition has become a global imperative, the UNAM Offices in Europe are organizing a new session of the UNAM Europe Permanent Seminar. The meeting aims to foster dialogue toward a sustainable and fair energy transition, exploring both global challenges and local realities across Germany, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Mexico.
This session will feature five invited presentations from experts in five countries, as well as a collaborative workshop designed to identify joint research projects on the energy transition.
The discussion will address key questions such as:
How can renewable energy sources complement each other in diverse regional contexts?
What lessons can Europe and Mexico share to overcome technical, political, and social challenges?
This seminar represents an opportunity to analyse the complexity of integrating renewable energy systems and the importance of international collaboration in developing local solutions to global needs.
